How to get back into routine

Let's get real for a minute. Getting back to the gym isn't for the faint at heart after traveling, baseball, and enjoying the sunshine of summer. However, establishing a routine is the only way you are going to hit your goals and get back at it! Once you commit to yourself, the rest will fall into place. Here are some ideas:

  • Book your classes ahead of time and don't break that commitment to yourself.
  • Bring a friend. Nothing is more fun than peer pressuring a friend to workout ;)
  • Be clear on your goals and how you will reach them. If you understand WHY you are working out, getting there becomes so much easier
  • Even if your body isn't feeling like a full blown workout right off the bat, ease into it. Do half the workout, go at a slower pace, just use body weight. There are so many things we can do in the studio to modify if needed.
  • Remember there is no perfect time. You just need to create the time for yourself and get it done.
  • Each day you wait is a day longer to get where you want to go.
